PTLGateway is a provider of hosted and managed services.
The PTLGateway Desktop is our fully hosted low cost start up timeshare service, where you simply rent
software applications on a monthly basis.
Based on a managed (RES PowerFuse) corporate desktop using Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 and Citrix
Presentation Server v4.5. We support most Microsoft applications and a number of specialist line of business
software products.
For Roaming user’s access is provided over the internet via an encrypted internet connection using Portwise, a
secure two factor SSL-VPN authentication system. For a more heavyweight solution and where a static location
is frquently used, a dedicated VPN can be configured between your office and our datacenter.
Hosting your IT applications provides a cost effective way to scale up your IT systems quickly, provide access to
applications from multiple offices, or support home and mobile workers with access to the latest software
releases all on a simple rental basis.
Alternatively, you can choose to have your own dedicated servers managed or un-managed and hosted in our
datacenter with your own domain and then just purchase shared services such as antivirus protection, secure
remote access and data backup support.
Options are numerous and can be customised to suit your requirements.
